May Update

100 additional old radio shows have been added to the websites. http://www.originaloldradio.com/  and http://www.radioshowcds.com/.  Remember you can purchase the old radio shows on either MP3 and Audio CDs.  The old radio shows can make your ride to and from work betterl if you are tired of the radio talk shows or if you want something other than just music.

New Record Player

Just purchased a new record player, well not really new. It's a completely restored 1917 Victor Talking Machine. Now all I need is a few 78 records from the same era.

Bogart, The African Queen, Bold Venture

Here is a bit of history of the making of the movie "The African Queen"


The African Queen was filmed mostly on location in Africa, where almost all the cast and crew suffered from malaria and dysentery—except director John Huston and Bogart, neither of whom ever drank any water. Hepburn, ever the urologist's daughter, disapproved of the two men's drinking and piously drank gallons of water each day to spite them. She wound up so sick with dysentery that, even months after she returned home, the famously vigorous actress was still ill.

Not many know that Humphrey Bogart and his wife Lauren Bacall starred in their own radio show, "Bold Venture"

For the October update I have added photos of those appearing on the "Gisele Of Canada" old radio show webpages. Not many remember the radio show even when considering many of the top stars of the period graced Gisele's show.
