The following is from the State Journal, Frankfort Kentucky. I agree with this article.

6th District Congressman Ben Chandler once again voted against his constituents with last week's "Yes" vote on the Waxman-Markey energy tax bill.With this vote, the left-wing Chandler voted against : 1) Kentucky Farmers 2) Kentucky's utility workers, 3) Kentucky's coal workers, 4) Kentucky's citizens on fixed incomes, and 5) Kentuckians who must commute long distances for jobs. At this point in the economic spiral we are in, what else does Kentucky have but its farmers, utilities, and coal ? I thank God for these remaining industries, and pray that everyone else has the good common sense to fire Chandler next election cycle. Remind him just who the boss really is. We cannot afford Ben Chandler.

ANN SOTHERN - JUST A BIT OF HER HISTORY

In a role originally intended for Jean Harlow, MGM cast Sothern in the film Maisie (1939), as brassy Brooklyn burlesque dancer Mary Anastasia O'Connor who also goes by the stage name Maisie Ravier. In Mary C. McCall Jr.'s screenplay of Wilson Collison's novel, Maisie is stranded penniless in a small Wyoming town, takes a job as a ranch maid and becomes caught in a web of romantic entanglements. After years of struggling, Sothern had her first real success, and a string of "Maisie" comedy sequels followed, beginning with Congo Maisie'(1940), followed by Undercover Maisie (1947) in which Maisie infiltrates a gang of con men headed by a phony swami. A review of Swing Shift Maisie (1943) by Time magazine praised Sothern and described her as "one of the smartest comediennes in the business".

BEN CHANDLER - CAP & TRADE - BOUGHT BY RANGLE

Ben Chandler, US Representative from Kentucky, has already voted for the Cap & Trade which will cost the average household $4,300 a year. I guess that since 2/3 of the economy is consumer driven, Chandler must think it's better to just take the money from the consumers and spend it in the form of what ever congress thinks. Chandler really likes money, he gladly took money from Rangle. You know who Rangle is, the US Representative that is having troubles with the IRS. Chandler happens to sit on the Congressional Ethics Committee. Based on Chandler's actions so far I have no doubt that he will vote for a government run national health care plan that the majority of the people do not want. But when has congress really cared about what the majority wants. Of course Chandler could buy a lot of votes back home if he can figure a way to slip a lot of pork in a pending bill. We all know that pork is just a way to buy votes don't we. All those who voted for a politician that brought home the pork, please stand up.

AGNES MOOREHEAD A GREAT ACTRESS

Agnes Moorehead - Although she appeared in more than 70 films beginning with Citizen Kane and on dozens of television shows during a career that spanned more than 30 years, Moorehead is probably most widely known to modern audiences for her role as the witch Endora in the television series Bewitched. While rarely playing leads in films, Moorehead's skill at character development and range earned her one Emmy Award and two Golden Globe awards in addition to four Academy Awards and six Emmy Award nominations. Moorehead's transition to television won acclaim for drama and comedy. She could play many different types, but often portrayed haughty, arrogant characters.

HEPBURN & THE AFRICAN QUEEN

Here's a little tipbit of information. When out of the US never drink the water.

The African Queen was filmed mostly on location in Africa, where almost all the cast and crew suffered from malaria and dysentery—except director John Huston and Bogart, neither of whom ever drank any water. Hepburn, ever the urologist's daughter, disapproved of the two men's drinking and piously drank gallons of water each day to spite them. She wound up so sick with dysentery that, even months after she returned home, the famously vigorous actress was still ill.

HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES

The White House and Nancy Polosi have both demonized the health insurance companies without really giving a reason why. I imagine the every increasing cost for health insurance is the main point. Put what has the insurance industry say about, nothing that I could find. So it leaves it up to us to try to look at both sides. We know what the political side is, so that just leaves the insurance side. Here is my take on the insurance.

The last house I bought I naturally had insurance for it. The knew the monthly note would include a fixed mortgage rate, a fixed principle. I also knew that it would include insurance that would continue to rise through the years and I knew why, the value of the house would increase as the years past, that's the advantage of buying a home. Now lets apply this to health insurance. What could cause health insurance to go up. The first thing that comes to mind is GE (General Electric). GE comes out with much improved MRI machine, the cost for which is double that of their last machine, but for hospitals it's a must piece of equipment. The hospital gets buys one, now how does the hospital pay for it, it does like any business does, the hospital increase the cost for an MRI, this in turned is passed on to some one's health insurance. The insurance company is a business, they thus pass on the new cost to their customers in the form of higher insurance cost. Apply this example to doctors and the lack of tort reform, the doctors pass their insurance cost to your insurance company who then passes it on to you in the form of higher insurance premiums. Add in a lot of other costs that hospitals and doctors incur that they pass on to health insurance companies and you can see the effects. So are health insurance companies the demons. Something to think about.
